Sacred Journey, Comfortable Mocassins
Somehow it always seems that the journey begins before the journey begins. In two weeks, a group of us begins our spiritual pilgrimage in Peru, trekking the ancient paths of the ancestors and passing through spiritual ritual and ceremony. We are all quite excited, and I for one am enthralled with the prospect of meeting the new woman—the new being—I will become.
Just the other day, Thursday, I came across something very important that I had completely forgotten: An Affirmation to Stay in Alignment. We had been given this in mystery school to practice. Somehow in some way it had dropped from my consciousness. And now that I think of it, rediscovering it now is in perfect synchronicity with what I’ve been feeling about the upcoming journey to Peru. I want to be in alignment with the creation I have the potential to unfold.
Last night I realized that the last few years have been about feeling comfortable and at home with myself, in my life and all that that means. This morning, getting needed items for the trip to Peru, I was suddenly inspired to cross the bridge and look for running shoes in a store don’t usually shop in. Not only did I find the right shoes, but I found my right size (10 ½), which no shoe store I’ve ever been in carries, forcing my to find a 10 or an 11 that I could fit into.
Today, I didn’t have to fit in. I can walked comfortably in my own “moccasins.” That’s a great space to be in for this adventure to Peru. Now I get to see what happens after that.
