Are you being the best you can? No, really. Are you? Or are you only being as good as is comfortable for you? It’s a question worth asking. More importantly, it’s a question worth answering with honest self-reflection.
We frequently come up with very creative excuses for not doing our best, for delaying making those decisions and taking those actions that will help us be the best we can. And we may not even realize that we’re doing it. So outwardly it appears that we’re just having a hard time making a shift, that somehow we’re coming up short in our life. And that’s when the trouble begins…the trouble that comes from distracting ourselves with people, places and things we think will fix what we believe to be wrong. The only way to fix it, of course, is from within with a little honest self-reflection, meditative awareness and commitment to moving beyond your own limitations.
What will you do differently now so that you can do it the best you can?
