The Master Teachers have a way of speaking on many levels at once. There’s the message you hear with your ears at the moment, and the deeper wisdom that unfolds later when you’re ready to understand what the message was really about. Some time ago in enlightenment school, our Teacher gave us what I thought was a simple yet radical lesson in bringing true health consciousness to our eating habits and the dinner table. But just the other day I became aware that there was a hidden teaching in there about tending to the soul.
What is a relationship? For some, a relationship is defined by past experiences; realize experience does not always constitute understanding. For others, a relationship is a habit; it may be time to change your ways. For those who don’t know better, a relationship is a chore–the endless task of projecting and aspiring to unmeetable expectations. Be joyful in knowing a relationship is more glorious than that.
